Inspector - Quality Control

Shift: 2nd (evenings)
Prerequisites for this position are formal and practical training/ experience in SPC, Blueprint reading, quality systems, GD&T, calibration. You must have had prior quality control experience in a manufacturing (preferably in the metal forming and/or automotive components) facility Your experience includes, micrometers, calipers, height gages, bore gages, test and dial indicators, optical comparators, hardness testing, surface finish equipment, roundness testing, running a CNC CMM and vision system. Your duties would be to: • Inspect materials and products at set-up, work in process, and End of Run to dimensional specifications and visual requirements • Mark items for acceptance or rejection (non-conforming material), record test results and inspection data and compare data for adherence to customer and internal requirements • Collect samples for inspection • Perform capability and Gauge R&R studies • Perform SPC charting for critical features • Analyze and interpret blueprints to verify part conformance to specifications and best inspection method practices • Control scrap reporting accuracy • Perform inventory transactions for purchased and finished products This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits following a 90 day orientation period.
